St. Mary’s bowed out of the cup, and ended their competitive season with defeat to Clontarf.

Despite dominating for long periods with both possession and territory Mary’s failed to turn the pressure into points and ultimately this led to their downfall.

A breakout try and a penalty from Clontarf left Mary’s chasing two scores in the last quarter of the match .

Afterwards the players adjourned to the bar to toast and thank captain Mossy who worked so hard during the year.

He has organized a couple of wind down matches against Barnhall and the upcoming blitz.
