Dear Fellow Members and Friends,

Welcome to St. Marys College RFC! Our club purpose is to encourage and foster the playing of fun and competitive rugby union. We share the values of authenticity, inclusivity, community and teamwork and we commit to making your interactions with our rugby club aligned with these values.

We are all looking forward with great excitement, and with well-founded ambition, to the forthcoming season and we wish every success to our Club Captain, Ronan Watters, our Director of rugby, Alan Shirley, and our Director of Elite Rugby, Sean Cronin in the season ahead. This year our first team coaching team includes Mark McHugh, Jamie Cornett, and Marcus O’Driscoll supported by the firsts Management Team of Paul Pender, Paul Conlon, Conor O’Neill, and our J1 manager, Darren Walker. Good luck all!

We also look forward to continued success of Sarah Brennan and last season’s re-established women’s team. We wish her and her team every success in building the squad, and over the coming seasons, and in the further development of this important section of our club.

To all our junior rugby teams competing in the Metro Leagues, our U20’s, our youth’s teams, our enormous mini boys & girls teams, to all the coaches, managers, and volunteers who give up so much of their free time, I thank you and I wish you every success for the season ahead.

A special welcome to the Club Sponsor, Ian Conlon from Maples. To all our other sponsors and partners including G Mack, Fanagan’s Funeral Homes, Morgan Crowe, SoftCo, NFP and The Chawke Group, a huge thank you for your ongoing support. It is greatly appreciated. We look forward to our shared successes this season as we embark on this journey together.

Please remember that this is your club, and you are encouraged to enjoy all the benefits from you being a member of St. Mary’s College RFC including free use of the gym, use of any of our 3 bars, attendance at All Ireland League lunches, golf outings, social functions and much, much more! I look forward to seeing you at all our teams matches, both home and away, in support of our brave and proud players in blue!.

Thank you sincerely for renewing your annual membership for the year 2023-24. Whether you are brand new to the club, or have been a member for many years, your subscription counts enormously to us and is the lifeblood of our club, thank you.

The Club always needs new volunteers so, if you have any time or want to get involved at any level, please let someone know!

Here’s to a winning season ahead, both on and off the pitches!

Yours in Rugby,
