St Marys v Coolmine ( pennant side) 17/01/10.
 
From the kick off Coolmine took control of the game and put our pack under a lot of pressure and after 5 mins we conceded a early penalty which they converted to take a 3/0 lead. And from our kick off they put the ball back down into our twenty two where we knocked the ball on and conceded a scrum. From the scrum Coolmine went over for a well taken try but missed the conversion to lead 8/0. We started to get on top of Coolmineand we where winning good lineout ball. After 20 minutes we started to get on top of the game winning great line out ball and from one of the lineouts Rikki Micken scored an execellent try  which Ross O Brien converted to make the score 8/7 to Coolmine. After some great forward play Ronan Lennon went over for a great try which Ross converted to make it 14/8 to Marys. Just before half time we were defending our line when we turned the ballover and from just outside our 22 Cormac Tracy made agreat break and scored a wonderful try which was converted by Ross O Brien . Half time score 21/8 to Marys.
 
From the start of the second half we took complete control of the game but we were reduced to 14 players after Steve Murray was sin binned. But again after some great team play we scored another great try by Matt Dempsey which made the score 26/8. With 7 mins left Francois Guirand went over for a try  and Mat Dempsey converted.  With a minute to go Rikki Mc Micken went over for his second try of the game. Final score 38 /8 to Marys.  Great team effort by all concerned on the day.
