Clondalkin Game:

St.Mary’s J5-B startedthe defense, of their league title, with a narrow loss to Clondalkin. The matchwas relocated to St. Mary’s, due to bad weather.

We started at a non stop pace and were on top for the opening periods, of the game.

We scored some great triesand were soon 14-0 up but injuries to critical positions broke up our flow.Clondalkin were able to exploit this and soon were able to tie the game, we wentback in the lead with a well taken penalty but Clondalkin hit back with twopenalties to take the lead, which they would not give up. We hitat them withgusto but were unable to break them down.

This was a greatperformance from a team that had a mix of experience and new players, withcomplete commitment. The problems in this game will be corrected throughtraining, so a big turnout is required at training
