Parkmore Game

St.Mary’s J5-A team began their life in the lofty heights, of the J4 league, witha well fought win, ove rParkmore.

For the first 20 minutes our inexperience, at this level, shone through as we made some gameplay errors in our own 22.

We spent that opening period camped between our own tryline and our 22. Our defensive line was flawless however, with Parkmore coming away with no score, for this dominance.

The team realigned and began to play some smart rugby, hitting territory kicks followed by great support running. This pressure, on Parkmore, did not relent, with the forwards turning over 3 scrums and mauling 15 metres at a go. The backline started finding gaps, to push through. In the end all this pressure told with two penalties and a converted try to our name.

Final Score:

St.Mary’s College R.F.C -13

Parkmore                     -3
