J2 XV — Season 2014/15
Second in Metro Division 2 in the first season after promotion, and beaten by Old Wesley in the divisional final.
After winning Division 3 and the O'Connell Cup in 2013/14, the J2s moved up to Metro League Division 2, where most opponents were other clubs' second teams. They lost only three league games, beat the eventual winners Old Wesley 27–22 at Templeville Road in November and finished second. The two sides met again in the Division 2 final at Donnybrook in March, which Old Wesley won 52–15. The defence of the O'Connell Cup ended in the first round at Lansdowne, who went on to win it.
