St. Mary's College RFC & The Leinster Senior Cup
Eleven wins from nineteen finals, from Joe Fanagan's side of 1958 to the AIL champions of 2026.
St. Mary's won the Leinster Junior Cup four times between 1905 and 1911 and were promoted to senior rugby in 1911. In their first season they entered the Leinster Senior Challenge Cup and, on St. Patrick's Day 1912, beat Monkstown, "twice winners of the trophy and strong favourites", before losing the semi-final to Bective Rangers. Senior status was regained in 1941, and semi-finals followed in 1943 and 1948.
The first win came in 1958, "after 58 years", when Joe Fanagan's side beat Blackrock College in a gale at Lansdowne Road. Since then St. Mary's have won the cup 11 times from 19 finals, including back-to-back wins in 1974 and 1975. Between 2008/09 and 2015/16 the competition was played as the Leinster Senior League Cup, and the club counts its 2010 and 2013 wins in that competition among its Senior Cups.

1958 Joe Fanagan — beat Blackrock College 6–0 Won
St. Mary's first Senior Cup, "after 58 years". The path to the final went through Old Wesley (14–0), Palmerston (3–0) and Clontarf in an equally tough semi-final, before Blackrock College at Lansdowne Road.
Having lost the toss, St. Mary's faced a near gale, with rain, then hail and sleet. It was 0–0 at half-time. Early in the second half Sean Cooke kicked a penalty, and midway through the half Cooke worked an overlap for Ken Wall to send Brian Hussey over far out on the right. Paddy Dowling went off injured and later returned, and the Irish Independent singled out the forwards Bagnall, Carmody, Cusack, Kerrigan and Corrigan. The victory banquet was held in the Ormond Hotel.

1969 Sean Lynch — beat Dublin University 14–11 in a replay after extra time Won
The final against Trinity at Lansdowne Road on Saturday 19 April 1969 ended 6–6, a superb dropped goal by Donal Mullan forcing the replay. Paul MacWeeney of the Irish Times wrote that "no finer or more dramatic matches were ever seen in the 87 year old history of the competition".
In the replay a week later, on 26 April, Trinity led 11–3. A Johnny Moloney try made it 11–6, and almost on the final whistle Sean Cooke dived over at the posts and converted to level the scores. In extra time, with less than a minute left, Cooke kicked the winning penalty. Sean Lynch captained the side and Ned Carmody coached it.

1971 Johnny Moloney — beat UCD 5–3 Won
Played in wind and rain, with St. Mary's resisting against the strong wind. Six minutes after half-time Eddie Wigglesworth charged down a clearance by the UCD out-half on the line and Fergus Meehan dropped on the ball for a try, which Wigglesworth converted. Seven minutes later UCD full-back Tony Ensor kicked a 30-yard penalty, and then came "the longest 25 minutes" (Sean Diffley, Sunday Independent).
It was the club's third Senior Cup, and with the Metropolitan Cup and the McCorry Cup it completed a unique treble. Sean Lynch missed out on a medal because of his Lions selection.

It was the club's fourth Senior Cup and "the third in the last six seasons".

Lansdowne fought back to 13–12 with a Greg Dilger penalty and a Purcell try, converted by Dilger, and Hennessy hit an upright with a late penalty.
