A difficult season: the J1s won one league game (34–21 away to Clontarf) and drew one (22–22 away to Old Wesley), conceded two fixtures, and finished 8th of 8 in Metro League Division 1. They lost the relegation play-off 20–25 away to MU Barnhall on 2 April 2023 and were relegated. In the Metropolitan Cup they lost 26–35 at home to Monkstown in round 2.
