The 2006/07 J4/J5 season report says 'In the league we won 4 and lost 4'; the Leinster record has 3 wins, 1 draw (13–13 at Terenure, 03/02/2007) and 4 defeats.

Leinster lists St. Mary's as 'St. Mary’s College RFC' in Section C; the club's 2017 and 2021 reunion booklets summarise the season as 'J4 League Sec C - 5th place, Winters Cup - Round 1'.

The 2006/07 season report names Chi Yuen Hui (wing) as J4 Player of the Season and says the J4s had 3 wins in a row after Christmas (Leinster: Newbridge 15–0, Millmount House 22–17, then a 13–13 draw at Terenure).

The season report says seven first-choice players were away supporting Leinster in the Heineken Cup quarter-final v Wasps when the J4s lost the cup game.

No J4 B / second J4 team is recorded for 2006/07; the J5s played only one friendly plus the O'Connor Cup and D.P. Smyth blitz (season report).

2006/07 J4/J5 Season Report 2006/07 (J4 section and aims for 2007/08)

Source: J4_J5_season_report.

J4’s – Season started well numbers wise. A new recruitment drive was initiated by the management team during last summer to attract numbers and as this worked very well we will be running a similar campaign this summer.

League/Cup – In the league we won 4 and lost 4 which allowed us a mid-table finish. In the cup we lost in the first round to Millmount House.

Highlight – Undoubtedly the new team spirit which was created, as this has been sadly missed in the last few seasons. It helped to keep the squad together and playing for the whole season. Playing wise the 3 wins on the bounce after Christmas was a highlight.

Lowlight – The early cup exit. As seven of our first choice players were away supporting Leinster in the Heineken Cup Q Final vs Wasps we felt the branch could have done more to help rearrange this game.

Captain – Alan Kibble

Manager – Ian Grimson

Coaches – Tim Henderson and Eamon Moran

Player of the Season – Chi Yuen Hui (wing)

Aims for 2007/08 season –

To have the players to field a J5 side every week.

To win at least one trophy between the two sides.

To qualify for at least the semi’s in the J4 league.

To increase the player numbers and standard at the J4/J5 level.
