J5 XV 42-8 Kilkenny Normans RFC

Last Saturday the J5’s played a friendly against Kilkenny Normans RFC who travelled up from Thomastown, Co Kilkenny for the game.

Despite what the scoreline might suggest, it was a tight game. Both sides tried not to let the rain effect them. The score at half time was 25-5 in our favour.

In the second half our better fitness showed despite not having any subs. Midway through the half they seemed to tire and it was during this spell that we got most of our scores. In the end it finished 42-8.

Next up on Saturday morning is a tough league game against Terenure.
Meanwhile on Friday night the J5 B’s will be playing a friendly against a touring side from Toulouse at home.

Scorers:
Tries: Chi Yuen Hui (4), Shane Levins, David Sheedy and Daniel McEvoy (2).
Conv: Adrian Malone.
