Wicklow RFC 20 St. Mary’s College J2 24

The J2’s opened their season with an excellent run out away against Wicklow’s first team. In an open game of four quarters each team scored four tries and there was some excellent performances given it was our first pre-season game. Colm Barry, Rob Ryan, Paul Foran and Mark McKay scored the tries and each man did well for us. We play UCD next Saturday in Belfield as a curtain raiser to our Senior team’s game against the same opposition.

St Mary’s College RFC J1 V Monkstown FC 26                                35 Metropolitan Cup Sunday 26th February 2023.   Overall This is an old, esteemed and much-desired Leinster competition, won 11 times by St Marys.  It was first won in 1940, and last won in 2013, ten years ago.  We are obviously not going to win it
